In celebration of World Children's Day, we're sharing a story of a child's generosity toward and appreciation of the people and country of Burundi. A Texas second grader visited Burundi with her parents and saw first hand what life was like and made meaningful connections with her peers.
Congratulations Runners!
Thank you for making the 17th annual 2023 Run For The Water 5K, 10-miler, and Kids K a tremendous success. The race was held November 5, 2023, in Austin, Texas, and runners and walkers took to the streets to spread awareness for the life-changing difference that clean water makes for communities in rural Burundi, East Africa. The race benefits the Gazelle Foundation, a charity co-founded by Award-winning Runner Gilbert Tuhabonye, to spread peace and hope through clean water.

Artists With A Purpose
What started as a new year’s resolution to do something about the 771 million people globally who lack access to safe drinking water became an annual student art show and sale called Art for Water. Celeste Robbins, Chair of the Fine Arts Department at St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School in Austin reached out to the Gazelle Foundation about organizing a student art show fundraiser and the results are beautiful.
