The Gazelle Foundation is fortunate to participate in Austin Gives Miles, the philanthropic program of the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon presented by UnderArmour that connects race participants to local non-profit organizations.
For the third year in a row, the Gazelle Foundation is the recipient of a generous matching gift grant from the Moody Foundation through our participation in Austin Gives Miles program. The Gazelle Foundation is one of 25 Official Charity Partners who participate in the program.
This year marks the fifth year that the Moody Foundation has matched funds raised by the Official Charities of the Austin Gives Miles program. Their lifetime giving to Austin Gives Miles charities is $1.2M and growing, $30,000 of which has directly benefited the Gazelle Foundation.
Our partnership with the Austin Marathon and the Austin Gives Miles program has a clear and direct impact on our ability to provide clean, accessible water to people in Burundi. This year, our volunteers gave clean water to thirsty runners at the race, which has in turn allowed us to give clean water to over 330 of the people who need it most. Thanks to our incredible volunteers, we qualified for a $10,000 grant this year from the Moody Foundation.
