Moms and mother figures, let's take on this challenge together. Select your distance and register for this year's Run For The Water happening on Sunday, November 9, 2025 in downtown Austin. The charity run benefits the Gazelle Foundation, which brings clean water to Burundi. Registration comes with the ultimate 10-week training plan designed by coach Gilbert Tuhabonye, so you can run with joy knowing that you’re making a difference for families with every step you take.
Austin High School Academy of Global Studies students fund clean water for 10 classrooms in Burundi. For the ninth year, students donated, fundraised, and participated in a walk simulation all of which support the Gazelle Foundation’s mission to provide people in Burundi daily access to clean water.
With this new year, we are pleased to share changes to our board of directors. Welcome new board members Suellen Carson and Ashish Patel.
We extend our deepest thanks to exiting board members, Andi Gillentine and Paula McCaul whose efforts have made a profound impact on thousands of lives in Burundi. Families are healthier, sanitation and hygiene are boosted, and the risk of water-borne infectious diseases is reduced. Rather than spending hours collecting water, children are healthy and able to attend school. Paula has generously agreed to serve as co-chair of 2025 Spring For The Water Gala, and both Andi and Paula have generously agreed to serve on our Advisory Committee.
