These words were shared with us in Burundi. They are simple words, but behind them is profound gratitude.

Every trench dug. Every pipe laid. Every tank built. Every tap stand flowing. Together, they mean that families have reliable access to clean water close to home. They mean better health, more time for school and work, and greater possibility for the future.
But they also communicate something deeply human.
We care about your health. We care about your future. We care about you.
Our water systems are built alongside the communities they serve. Local people are hired to help build them, learn how they work and take responsibility for protecting and maintaining them long after construction is complete.
When we have the privilege of seeing these systems at work—and witnessing the joy and gratitude of the people using them—it is incredibly humbling.
Because behind every donation, every mile run, every partnership, every volunteer hour and every person who shares our mission is an act of caring. And thousands of miles away, that care is being received.
To everyone who has given their time, resources and belief to this work: your impact is real. It is deeply felt. And it is doing tremendous good.
