Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the people of Burundi by providing access to clean water, so that they can experience the highest quality of life and hope within reach. Our unique connection to Burundi, and our strong relationships with on-the-ground partners, mean that we can effect change in a place where many others cannot.
Since our inception in 2006, we have:
Provided clean water to over 128,760 people
Invested $2.73 million in clean water systems
Created 5,088 jobs
Brought clean water to 57 schools, churches, and hospitals
Completed 69 projects, but there is still much to do
Our systems:
Reduce or eliminate deadly waterborne diseases
Increase educational access, allowing children to attend school on a more regular basis
Create shorter, safer walking distances to water
Provide jobs and stimulate local economies in a country with one of the highest unemployment rates, globally
Equitably provide clean water to all, healing divisions and building common ground
Give hope to a country mostly forgotten by the world
Local Impact
We are based in Austin, Texas and our signature local events help educate and raise awareness of the global water crisis in general and in Burundi specifically. All funds raised through these events go directly to water system development, bringing clean water to those that need it most.
