At the handover of the Musinzira-Mahwa water system, Matana regional administrator Gloriose Niyubahwe shared that when the project was first discussed, she was skeptical.
Now, she’s watching clean water flow.
Months of work made that moment possible: local workers dug 8.7 miles of trenches by hand and installed pipeline, built 8 tanks and 16 tap stands, and brought clean water to 3,500 people and two churches, all made possible by generous donors and community members who chose to act.
Niyubahwe put it simply: “You are people of action.”
Clean water changes what’s possible.
For 3,500 people, clean, reliable water is now part of daily life. The singing and dancing are a celebration of what that means for families, for children, and for the future.
