Gilbert's 30th Anniversary of Life

October is special for Gilbert Tuhabonye and the Gazelle Foundation

On October 21, 1993, Gilbert narrowly escaped genocide. He ran for his life from that horror into a new life one marked by resilience, hope, faith, and forgiveness.

For 30 years, Gilbert has embraced a life of hope, joy, and forgiveness. For everybody who knows him, Gilbert embodies the power of optimism and perseverance. In response to Gilbert’s story, the Gazelle Foundation was created to bring life-saving clean water and hope to people in Burundi.

In remembrance of the tragic events of 1993, and to celebrate the strength and resilience of Gilbert’s 30th anniversary, we're announcing a generous match for all funds raised by our campaign up to $10,000, including monthly donations.

This means you can double your impact.

When you donate between now and October 30th, 2023 you help twice as many people in Burundi access the life-changing power of clean water. You can honor Gilbert and further his legacy of making the world a better more compassionate place.
