2025 A Year of Powerful Strides

2025 was full of powerful strides in Austin and in Burundi. Your support helped deliver clean water, healthier communities and brighter futures to 6,600 people.

During 2025, we completed two massive water systems which met the exceptional challenge of providing water to 3,100 and 3,500 people over a total of 32KM—nearly 20 miles! This transformative change is fully attributable to your giving. Two additional water systems kicked off, with a completion date scheduled for early 2026.

See the numbers, read the stories, and learn about the difference you helped make possible in 2025.

Many of our projects serve smaller areas and a more limited number of people, but our scalable approach enables us to tackle large projects when they present themselves.” Pete Rauch, Co-Founder

All in all, 141,860 people have permanent access to clean water thanks to supporters like you. See how our 7-step process works.

Every day and every dollar we raise is invested to build clean water systems in Southwestern Burundi. You'd never guess from the smiles of the warm-hearted people, the ready embraces, and joyful spirit they exhibit that clean water, an essential resource, would be in such short supply.

Our co-founder Gilbert Tuhabonye exudes so much light, hope, and joy. He has made part of his life's work to transform lives where he grew up. Join us to bring clean water, hope, opportunity, and peace to an area of the world where life's essentials require a lot more daily effort.

Clean water is a need we all share, no matter where we live in the world.

*Note: In 2025, Burundi restructured its internal map, consolidating 18 provinces into five larger, more centralized administrative regions. While our work was primarily based in the former Bururi province, that area is now part of the newly created Burunga province, which combine Bururi, Makamba, Rutana, and select communes from Rumonge.
