About The Gazelle Foundation
The Gazelle Foundation was founded in 2006 by a passionate group of Central Texans inspired by Gilbert Tuhabonye’s journey as a national champion runner and genocide survivor. Since then, the nonprofit has built 74 clean water systems and counting across rural Burundi, serving more than 141,860 people with sustainable, life-changing infrastructure. See our impact.

The Gazelle Foundation builds an average of six water systems per year through traditional donations and fundraising. By fully funding one water project, you will significantly increase the number of people to get clean water each year and help eradicate water-borne illnesses and diseases in Burundi.
