Jorge Gives Miles
One of our newest supporters, Jorge Matamoros, is taking part in the Austin Marathon Gives program this year, raising funds by giving miles – and water – to those that need it most in Burundi. Jorge is a first-generation American from El Paso, Texas and is running his first marathon this month. He calls the Gazelle Foundation an “easy choice” to support.

Bujumbura is the largest city, main port of Burundi, and former capital. Largely frozen in time due to more than a decade of conflict, there has been very little development within the city.
